Sam Mackaway, the founder of GraziApp, returned to his family farm to work in the Northern Tablelands in 2022, following time in both Armidale and Rockhampton as an electrician. Upon returning, Sam noticed that there didn't seem to be a farm management system that encompassed everything his family farm, and other local farmers in the region, were needing to completely digitise and simplify their records and business management, that didn't come with a hefty price tag or was too complicated to use.

Following numerous conversations with local farmers and a trip to Gunnedah AgQuip in 2023, Sam was inspired to create an app that covered everything a livestock farmer could ever need to digitise their records, run their business and manage their production whilst remaining at a price point that was accessible to everyone; from the hobby farmer to the big conglomerates.

Through extensive research and consultation with professionals in the cattle, sheep and goat industries, Sam developed GraziApp with the hope that he would give farmers an all-in-one system that is simple to navigate while still holding a wealth of information; simplifying the accreditation requirements of Australian Farmers.

Sam hopes to continue to expand GraziApp to not only encompass more livestock and cropping sectors, but to also support workplace health and safety and policy and procedure requirements. He hopes to break into the overseas market in order to expand his business and support his international colleagues.
